The Staff at Above the Barre Dance Academy, would like to welcome you! At Above the Barre, we believe in training dancers to have a well rounded foundation of technique and focus on their artistic style, in order for them to take their talents in any direction. Our educated staff aims to pass along their knowledge and passion for dance to the next generation of movers. ATB Alumni have pursued a wide variety of avenues including Collegiate dance teams, Fine Arts Conservatories, commercial and concert work with professional dance companies and can even be seen on Broadway!  
Realizing that dance is education first, we will work to build:
    •    A positive self-esteem in each dancer.
    •    A respect for oneself and others.
    •    The physical and mental abilities necessary to succeed.
The staff focuses on teaching dancers responsibility, accountability, and most importantly the value of community! Whether our dancers continue dancing after ATB or not, we are ALWAYS family! After all, our dance friends are always our BEST FRIENDS!

Little did I know what an amazing experience would lie ahead for my young dancing daughter.  After a few years of recreational dance at Above The Barre Dance Academy it led us to spots on Mini Company and now Company.  The staff is amazing (Chelsie, Jennifer & Gena)!  Not only are these ladies my daughter’s dance teachers but they are her cheerleaders and advocates.  They see the potential in her and give her the power and tools so she can see it in herself.  Our studio family is like a second family to us.  ATB is where our ❤️ is.

ATB and the teachers have been amazing for our daughter.  Not only are we grateful for the level of dance technique, style, and competition, but we couldn’t have dreamt of the life skills she has built through her experience at the studio.  The teachers hold the team to a high standard of work ethic, camaraderie, and respect.  They honor each student as an individual and the teachers are respected and loved by the team. The studio also fosters a tight family culture amongst the families involved and we are reminded that at the end of the day we are all trying to build kind and decent humans..... dance happens to be an incredible tool to make that happen.💕

My daughter has been dancing at ATB for 7 years, and it’s been an absolute amazing experience. Not only has she honed her dance skills, but she has learned invaluable life lessons that will stay with her forever. I’m grateful for the positive impact her teachers have had on her. They’ve been huge supporters throughout her journey both in the studio and in life. Their genuine care and understanding have made it easy to call ATB our “other family”.
